i. The Signal
When skin wants smoothing, and a scrub is too much.
Skin looks a little rough and uneven, and you want it smoothed. For reactive skin, that is usually where the trouble starts. Scrubs and acids leave you red and stinging, so smoothing turns into the step you skip.
Cacao Renewal Polish was made for that. Seven ingredients, mixed fresh each time, working through warmth and slip.
ii. The Ritual
Smoothing that feels tender.
A seven-ingredient cacao polish built on finely milled rice, in a creamy coconut and cocoa base. It softens the look of texture through warmth and slow massage, and it leaves skin looking smoother and feeling softer.
The polish is a soft powder you mix to a creamy paste, a warm few minutes of slow massage, and it rinses away to leave skin feeling soft and looking polished. A gentle weekly ritual, on your terms.

iii. The Standard
Seven ingredients, and the reason for each.
Cacao Renewal Polish is a dry powder built on finely milled rice in a creamy cocoa base, and it works through warmth and slip. It is formulated to the tolerance of the most reactive skin, and there are seven ingredients in the jar.
A little goes a long way. Most customers get 9 to 12 months from one jar.
Sensory Notes
A soft, fine powder that blooms into a warm, creamy paste when mixed. It smells faintly of cacao and glides over the skin as you massage. It rinses away clean, and skin is left feeling soft and polished. A warm, grounding few minutes.
How to Use
Mix a small scoop
Stir a small scoop of powder with a little water into a soft, creamy paste.
Massage gently
Massage over damp skin in slow, warm circles, avoiding the eye area. Let the warmth do the work.
Pause and breathe
Take your time. This is a slow, sensory ritual, and a light hand is all it asks for.
Rinse and follow
Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. Follow with your essence, serum, or butter. Use once or twice a week.
Where it sits in your routine
This is the middle step, once or twice a week. Cleanse first with the Hydrate or Brighten Cleansing Bar, then this, then finish with the Defy Face Butter or whichever elixir you already keep.
It is the optional one. Skip it in a week when you have nothing spare, and the routine still works.
Care & Keeping
How long a jar lasts
Half a teaspoon does a whole face, and you are using it once or twice a week, so a jar goes a long way. Most customers get 9 to 12 months from one.
Whether it is preserved
It is not, and it does not need to be. This is a dry powder with no water in it, so there is nothing for anything to grow in. That is why the ingredient list is seven items long with no preservative among them.
Keeping water out of the jar
Water is the only thing that spoils a powder. Use a dry spoon or dry fingers every time, mix in your palm or a small dish rather than in the jar, and keep the lid on. Store it somewhere dry and out of the steam, which usually means a cupboard rather than the shower shelf.
If damp gets in you will see it before you smell it: the powder clumps rather than staying loose. That is the point to stop using it.
If it arrives in hot weather
Nothing to worry about. A dry powder has nothing to melt and nothing to separate, so heat in transit does not affect it. It may settle in the post, which is why the jar can look less full than you expected. Give it a gentle shake with the lid on.
Ingredients
Seven ingredients. Finely milled rice and cocoa in a creamy coconut base, and everything else left out on purpose.

Formulated for reactive, easily-overwhelmed skin. We suggest a patch test on the inner forearm, left 24 hours, before facial use.
For external use only. Keep away from the eyes, and rinse if it gets in.

Ingredient Transparency
Smoothness that feels kind, with every ingredient named.
I formulate for skin that reacts to almost everything, including my own. So I build with less, and I name all of it. Cacao Renewal Polish softens the look of rough, uneven texture through warmth, slip, and finely milled rice, with no synthetic fragrance and no essential oils, and it is gluten-free. If you are navigating an autoimmune condition, MCAS, eczema, psoriasis, or skin that reacts to harsh exfoliants, here is the full picture.
Why it is made for reactive skin
About the scent
This polish has a soft, warm cacao scent, and it comes entirely from the cocoa itself, with no synthetic fragrance and no essential oils added. Cocoa does not appear on the standard fragrance-allergen lists. It does carry a real, noticeable scent, so I keep the honest “no synthetic fragrance” wording here rather than calling it bare “fragrance-free.” If you are highly scent-reactive, that is the note for you.
Gluten-free
This polish is gluten-free. It contains no gluten-grain ingredients, and its only grain is brown rice, which is naturally gluten-free, so it is a reassuring choice if you are celiac or gluten-sensitive. That speaks to the formula. If you are managing a diagnosed condition, decide alongside your doctors, never instead.
Every ingredient, named
Here is everything in the jar, a short blend of rice, coconut, cocoa, and a few soft botanicals. The notes below are for anyone with a coconut allergy, a cocoa sensitivity, or fragrance reactivity, with a reassuring note for the gluten-sensitive.
Open the full ingredient list
That is everything, with nothing hidden. Two small things. This is a physical polish, so even though it works through warmth and slip, use a light hand on reactive skin. And if an ingredient gives you pause, the cocoa or the coconut, patch test a small area first. You know your body best.
Indiefog makes skincare, and it sits alongside your doctors, never instead of them. Cacao Renewal Polish is a cosmetic. It is made to cleanse, soften, and comfort skin, and it does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
