There’s no synthetic fragrance and no essential oils, and the natural preservation system contains none of the benzyl alcohol that, as a declarable fragrance allergen, keeps the water-based butters from carrying that claim. The soft cocoa note you may notice is simply the raw cocoa butter itself.

The mild cleanser behind the creamy, low-foam lather — far gentler than sulfates. Coconut-derived, so worth noting only if you have a coconut allergy.
Cocoa, Shea & CoconutTheobroma Cacao, Butyrospermum Parkii, Cocos Nucifera
The nourishing base, and the source of the soft natural cocoa note. Shea is tree-derived but clinically low-allergen even for tree-nut-reactive skin; coconut is named for anyone with a coconut allergy.
Oat — Flour & ColloidalAvena Sativa
Soothing and cushioning for most skin. Two honest notes: oats naturally contain avenin and can carry traces of gluten from neighboring grains, so it matters if you avoid gluten; and colloidal oat is a contact allergen for a small number of people, most often those with eczema.
Tamanu Seed OilCalophyllum Inophyllum
A replenishing plant oil pressed from the tamanu seed. Some people with nut allergies choose to avoid or patch test seed-derived oils like this one.

My hair loves this bar. It’s so soft without leaving it crazy frizzy. Which is so nice because my skin is sooo sensitive to most hair products. I’ve noticed that if it’s not sudsing big after a just few swipes it’s time to use my clarifying shampoo. I’ve gone from clarifying once a week to maybe once or twice a month and I’m shocked how long this bar has lasted me. Literally months! washing my thick shoulder length hippie hair 3 times a week. Also, no strong smells. Get it!

I do like this facial bar. However, I find that it is a little bit drying for MY skin using it stand alone but coupled with rejuvenate elixir they make a really great team. No crazy smells and easy to use.
