i. The Signal
When the evening feels heavy, buzzy, and hard to land.
At the end of certain days, the body is heavy but the mind won’t settle — buzzy, overstimulated, still half-running when it should be slowing down. You want a soft signal to the body that the day is over: something warm, something grounding, a way to land.
Gentle Descent was made for those evenings.
ii. The Ritual
A warm, scented evening ritual.
A slow-melting scented magnesium body butter for a warm, grounding evening ritual — made for evenings that feel heavy, buzzy, or overstimulated. Lightly scented with just 1% lavender and chamomile, it carries a soft, calming aromatic without ever feeling perfumed.
The melt is rich and slow, sinking in without grease or drag. Worked into the skin with unhurried hands, the warmth and the soft scent become a quiet cue to the body: the day is done.

iii. The Standard
Why this butter is different.
A scent this gentle is a deliberate choice — just enough to ground, never enough to overwhelm. Gentle Descent is held to the standard the most sensitive, easily overstimulated body demands.
Ultra-concentrated and nutrient-dense — you use very little, and one jar typically lasts 6–12 months.
Sensory Notes
A warm, enveloping melt with a soft, light aromatic. The first touch is gentle and grounding — no cool, no tingle. As it melts, the texture turns rich and silky, sinking in slowly without grease. A quiet thread of lavender and chamomile drifts up, soft and low, then settles. The finish is comforting and warm, skin softened and the body cued to wind down.
Sensitive to essential oils?
Pure Descent is this same grounding butter, made completely essential oil-free — no lavender, no chamomile, no scent.
How to Use
Warm it first
Take a small amount and warm it between your palms until it softens. This first step is part of the ritual.
Apply with slow hands
Massage into the body with unhurried, grounding strokes — wherever the day has gathered.
Let the warmth land
Slow the pace on purpose. Let the warmth and the soft scent settle you; let your breath lengthen as you go.
Best in the evening
A natural close to the day. Use as often as it feels good.

A note on this formula
About the scent — and why this isn’t labeled “fragrance-free.”
Gentle Descent is lightly scented — about 1% — with lavender and chamomile essential oils, never synthetic fragrance. It is also preserved with benzyl alcohol, one of the few preservatives permitted under organic ECOCERT standards: a preservative, not a fragrance.
Because it contains essential oils — and benzyl alcohol is a declarable fragrance allergen on EU labels — I won’t call this “fragrance-free.” If you react to essential oils, Pure Descent is this same grounding butter, made completely essential oil-free. I formulated through my own MCAS and chose every ingredient deliberately, but you know your body best.

I’ve always struggled with Cramps during my period, I usually used heat pads and Herbal tea, but this time I also included the Magnesium Butter during the nights before going to bed and it went amazing. I felt less bloated the next morning.

This magnesium butter is incredible, it smells amazing and it truly feels like it applies like butter. I love putting this on the bottom of my feet before bed. It helps me relax, and also helps my achy feet from working on them all day.
Karen (verified owner) –
I used this on my foot that was hurting and no issue the following morning when I stepped out of bed.

I’ve always relied on meditation to help me wind down in the evening, but recently life got more demanding and I found myself carrying a lot of tension, especially in my jaw.
Adding IndieFog’s Magnesium Butter to my nightly routine gave me a ritual I genuinely look forward to. The simple act of warming it between my hands and massaging it in has become a calming, grounding moment — a quiet signal to myself that the day is done. It’s the pause I take right before I meditate.
The scent, the texture, and the whole experience feel soft and comforting, and I love having a peaceful self-care moment built into my evening. It’s become a cherished part of my nightly ritual, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a simple, sensory way to slow down at the end of the day.
