i. The Signal
When skin looks less plump and bouncy than it used to.
You can see it in the mirror. Skin that looks a little softer in structure, a little less plump, with fine lines a touch more visible. The usual answer is a strong active, and for reactive skin that answer tends to arrive with redness and stinging, so you stop a week in.
Firm Elixir was made for the long version. Fourteen ingredients, built on bakuchiol at 2%, gentle enough to stay with.
ii. The Ritual
A grounded lift for your skin.
A lightweight facial oil built on bakuchiol at 2%, with rosehip and pomegranate seed oils and an algae astaxanthin, over a base of light plant squalane. Used slowly and consistently, it leaves skin looking firmer and smoother over time, with no activation and no sting.
The texture is a silky, fast-absorbing oil. The squalane base keeps it light, so it sinks in and leaves no film. A few drops in the morning and a few more at night is the whole ritual, gentle enough to use every day.

iii. The Standard
Fourteen ingredients, and the reason for each.
Firm Elixir is a cold-pressed and CO₂-extracted oil blend built on bakuchiol at 2%, over a base of light plant squalane. Fourteen ingredients, with no water and no preservative. It is formulated to the tolerance of the most reactive skin.
A little goes a long way. Most customers get 6 to 12 months from one bottle.
Sensory Notes
A silky, golden oil that absorbs cleanly. The first touch is light, and it sinks in fast, leaving skin looking dewy and soft with no film behind. No tingle, no heat. A light, nourishing layer pressed in slowly as the close of your ritual.
How to Use
3 drops by day, 5 by night
Warm a few drops between your palms, about 3 in the morning and 5 in the evening.
Press into the skin
Press gently over the face and neck, and let the oil sink in on its own.
Slow and steady
Use consistently, day and night. This is a slow ritual, and the look builds gently over weeks.
Layer last
Use after your serum, as the final step, or just under a butter or cream to seal it in.
Where it sits in your routine
This is step four. Cleanse, then an essence, then a serum, then this pressed in. It can be the last step on its own, or it can go under the Ceramide Barrier Cream or the Defy Face Butter when your skin wants more over the top.
Once or twice a week the Cacao Renewal Polish or the Radiance Mask goes in after cleansing. That step is optional, and the routine works without it.
Care & Keeping
How long a bottle lasts
Most customers get 6 to 12 months from one bottle. Three drops by day and five by night is the whole of it, so the amount you need is smaller than the habit suggests.
Whether it is preserved, and why not
No, and it does not need one. There is no water in here. A preservative exists to stop things growing in water, and with no water there is nothing to grow in. That is one more thing left out on purpose, and it is part of why the list is as short as it is.
What is in here instead is vitamin E and rosemary extract. Those are antioxidants. They slow the oils turning over time, which is a different job from preserving, and worth knowing the difference if you read labels closely.
Storing it
Cool, out of direct sunlight, cap closed. Oils mind light and heat more than they mind anything else, so a sunny windowsill and the shelf above a hot shower are the two places to avoid. A drawer or a cupboard is ideal.
If it arrives warm, and when to stop
Warmth in transit is nothing to worry about here. There is no water and no emulsion in this bottle, so there is nothing to melt and nothing to split. Leave it somewhere cool and it will be exactly as it should be.
What to watch for over a long time is the smell. Plant oils turn eventually, and when they do the scent goes sharp or flat rather than soft. If yours smells different from the bottle you opened, stop using it on your face and tell us, and we will replace it.

Formulated for reactive, easily-overwhelmed skin. We suggest a patch test on the inner forearm, left 24 hours, before facial use.
For external use only. Keep away from the eyes, and rinse if it gets in.
Indiefog products are cosmetics, made to cleanse, soften, and comfort skin, not to treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Ingredient Transparency
A grounded lift your skin can stay with, with every ingredient named.
I formulate for skin that reacts to almost everything, including my own. So I build with less, and I name all of it. Firm Elixir supports the look of firmer, smoother skin through bakuchiol at 2% and a short blend of cold-pressed seed oils, with nothing sharp in it, and it is genuinely fragrance-free and essential oil free. If you are navigating an autoimmune condition, MCAS, eczema, psoriasis, or skin that does not tolerate retinol, here is the full picture. There is very little in this one to flag.
Why it is made for reactive skin
Genuinely fragrance-free
This is one of the products I can call fragrance-free without a caveat. There is no synthetic fragrance and no essential oils, and as a waterless oil it carries none of the benzyl alcohol found in the water-based products. The soft, earthy note is simply the cold-pressed seed oils and the algae antioxidant themselves.
Every ingredient, named
Here is everything in the bottle, a short blend built on light plant squalane, cold-pressed and CO₂-extracted seed oils, and an algae antioxidant. There is genuinely little here to flag. The notes below are a few botanical-family mentions and a reassurance for anyone with a shellfish allergy.

That is everything, with nothing hidden. There is very little in this one to react to, and if an ingredient still gives you pause, patch test a small area first. You know your body best, and Indiefog makes skincare that sits alongside your doctors, never instead of them.
Firm Elixir is a cosmetic. It is made to soften and comfort skin, and it does not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Joan Colbert –
I used Retin-A for some bumps on my skin, and I found it somewhat irritating after a few days. I discontinued it and gave it to a friend who like to use it all the time. I was so amazed when I used this product from indiefog. One of my bumps went away with daily use in under two weeks!
