i. The Signal
When your skin is fine one week and off the next.
Reactive, dehydrated, and hard to predict. Flaring at things that never used to bother it, then settling for a while, then flaring again. Stress, hormones, weather, a new product you tried once.
The Steady Ritual is four steps that stay the same. Morning and night, the same order, nothing to decide when you are tired.
ii. The Ritual
Four steps. The same four, every time.
A cleansing bar, a hydrating essence, a serum, and the Ceramide Barrier Cream. Cleanse, then layer hydration into damp skin, then seal it in. That is the whole routine, morning and night.
These four were chosen together as one routine. The Clarity Essence and the Balance Serum are the two steps I go to first for the most reactive skin, and the Ceramide Barrier Cream is the one cream in the line built to sit over them.

iii. The Standard
What is in it, and what is left out.
Four products, formulated without essential oils, synthetic fragrance, synthetic dyes, or talc. No exfoliating acids and no retinoids anywhere in the set. The Ceramide Barrier Cream is built around ceramides, cholesterol, and phytosphingosine, the same lipid family skin makes for itself.
Before you order · The oat step
One thing to check firstHydrate Cleansing Bar · colloidal oat
The Hydrate Cleansing Bar contains colloidal oat. If you have an oat allergy, or you have become sensitized to oat, this is the one step in the set to skip. Oat protein can act as a sensitizer on skin that is already reacting, and it is worth taking seriously. Write to us if you would like a version of this ritual without the oat step. On gluten, which is a separate question: the oat is certified gluten-free at source, and we hold the supplier certification on file.
What the set costs
Bought separately, $286. You save $58.
A little goes a long way. Cleansing bar around 3 to 6 months, essence 3 to 5 months, serum 3 to 4 months, barrier cream 6 months or more.
Formulated for reactive, easily-overwhelmed skin. We suggest a patch test on the inner forearm, left 24 hours, before facial use.
For external use only. Keep away from the eyes.
Indiefog products are cosmetics. They are made to cleanse, soften, and comfort skin, and they do not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Community Access
Your purchase includes free access to Rooted & Well™, our holistic community with monthly founder sessions, journaling prompts, meditations, and practitioner-supported resources.
Sensitivity Transparency
Four products, and open about all four.
I formulate for bodies that react to almost everything, including my own, so I build for less and I name all of it. The Steady Ritual is a fixed set of four: the Hydrate Cleansing Bar, the Clarity Essence, the Balance Serum, and the Ceramide Barrier Cream. Nothing to configure, which means the full ingredient picture is knowable before you buy. This is one of the quietest sets I make. No CBD, no lupine, no neem, no zinc oxide, no exfoliating acids, and no retinoids anywhere in it. Each product also carries its own complete breakdown on its own page.
True across all four
Read this before you order
The Hydrate Cleansing Bar contains colloidal oat. If you have an oat allergy, or you have become sensitized to oat, this is one to skip. Oat protein can act as a sensitizer on skin that is already reacting, and that risk is worth taking seriously. Write to us if you would like a version of this ritual without the oat step.
On gluten: the colloidal oat is certified gluten-free at source, and we hold the supplier certification on file. This is a separate question from the sensitization note above, which is about oat protein rather than gluten.
On ferments: the Balance Serum and the Ceramide Barrier Cream both contain yeast and Lactobacillus ferments, and three of the four contain snow mushroom. If you are sensitive to yeast, mould, or ferments, read those two product pages before you order.
On fragrance
All four are free of essential oils and synthetic fragrance. The bar, the essence, and the serum carry no benzyl alcohol, so all three are truly fragrance-free. The Ceramide Barrier Cream is preserved with a system that includes benzyl alcohol, a gentle ECOCERT preservative that also counts as a declarable fragrance allergen, so that one piece is labeled unscented. It is the only piece in the set where that distinction applies.
What to know, product by product
The short version for each of the four. For the complete ingredient list, open the Sensitivity Transparency section on that product’s own page.
Hydrate Cleansing Bar step one
Contains certified gluten-free colloidal oat, which is covered in the note above. Also contains shea and coconut, both tree-derived, and tamanu, which is a seed oil that some people with nut allergies choose to patch test.
Clarity Essence step two
A water-based essence, truly fragrance-free, preserved with gluconolactone and sodium benzoate. Contains licorice root, which sits in the pea and bean (Fabaceae) family, along with aloe and snow mushroom.
Balance Serum step three
Truly fragrance-free, and the most ferment-rich piece in the set: yeast amino acids and two Lactobacillus ferments, with snow mushroom. Also contains licorice root (Fabaceae), cucumber, bilberry, and prickly pear.
Ceramide Barrier Cream step four
Contains yeast amino acids, Lactobacillus ferment, and snow mushroom, plus shea, which is tree-derived. Cholesterol is usually plant-derived and can be lanolin-derived, so it is worth asking us if you have a wool or lanolin allergy. Preserved with a system that includes benzyl alcohol. See the fragrance note above.
That is the whole map. Nothing hidden, nothing implied. Open the full breakdown on each of the four product pages for the complete ingredient lists, and patch test a small area before your first full use. If you are working with an allergist or a specialist, bring the lists to them. You know your body best.
If you are navigating a condition, use these alongside your doctors, never instead. Every product in this set is a cosmetic. They are made to cleanse, soften, and comfort skin, and they do not treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
