I formulate for bodies that react to almost everything, including my own — so I build for less, and I name all of it. Aurea wraps overstimulated skin in a waterless blend of shea, calendula, and golden sea buckthorn, and it comes two ways: lightly scented with real lavender and frankincense essential oils, or completely unscented. Both are the same nourishing crème — the only difference is the scent, and neither version ever uses synthetic fragrance. If you’re navigating an autoimmune condition, MCAS, eczema, or psoriasis, here’s the full picture for both — so you can choose the right one.
Two versions — choose for your skin
Scented: lightly scented with real lavender and frankincense essential oils — never synthetic fragrance. Because they’re true botanicals, they naturally contain aromatic molecules (like linalool from lavender) that count as declarable fragrance allergens, and some fragrance-reactive or MCAS-sensitive skin reacts to essential oils as readily as to synthetic ones.
Unscented: made with no essential oils at all, so it’s genuinely fragrance-free — no synthetic fragrance, no essential oils, and (as an anhydrous crème) none of the benzyl alcohol that keeps water-based products from the claim. If you’re fragrance-reactive, this is the one to reach for.

The two essential oils behind the soft scent — real botanicals, never synthetic. Lavender naturally contains linalool and linalyl acetate (declarable fragrance allergens); frankincense contains aromatic terpenes. The unscented version leaves both out entirely and is genuinely fragrance-free.
Daisy-Family BotanicalsCalendula, Sunflower, Sea Buckthorn
Calendula (a marigold) and sunflower are both in the daisy / ragweed (Asteraceae) family — the note for anyone with that allergy, and the same family as the sunflower-derived Vitamin E below. Sea buckthorn is a food-derived berry that also lends the crème its golden color.
ButtersShea (Nilotica), Kokum
The rich, melting base. Shea is derived from a tree nut — the note for anyone with a tree-nut allergy, though it’s highly refined and well tolerated by many who react to nuts. Kokum is a food-derived butter.
Jojoba & Vitamin EJojoba, Tocopherol
Skin-familiar jojoba and natural Vitamin E. The Vitamin E (tocopherol) is sunflower-derived, in that same daisy / ragweed family — highly purified, but named for transparency.
That’s everything — nothing hidden, nothing implied. Two things worth repeating: if you’re fragrance-reactive, choose the unscented version — it’s genuinely fragrance-free, while the scented one carries real lavender and frankincense; and calendula and sunflower place both versions in the daisy / ragweed family, if that’s your allergy. The sea buckthorn also lends a golden tint, so give it a moment to absorb. As always, patch test a small area first — you know your body best.
