iii. The Standard

Why it’s all waterless.

Every product in this set is waterless. That is the whole point, and it is why not one of them carries a preservative. A preservative exists to stop things growing in water. With no water, there is nothing to grow in, so there is nothing to preserve. What keeps the oils fresh instead is vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, which is a different job from preserving.

How to use the set

Morning

Cleanse with Cloud, then press a few drops of Glow Elixir into damp skin for a soft, luminous start.

Night

Cleanse with Cloud again, then warm a little Soothe Face Butter between your fingers and press it in as the last step.

On a hard week

Cleanse and seal, and leave the rest. The shortest version of the routine is still the routine.

Why waterless, and why no preservative

Water is the reason most skincare needs a preservative. It is where bacteria, yeast, and mold grow, so a water-based product has to carry something to stop them. Take the water out and there is nothing to grow in, and nothing to preserve.

All three products here are waterless. The powder is dry in the jar. The elixir and the butter are oils and butters. None of them can support the growth a preservative is there to prevent, so none of them carries one. That is the absence doing real work, left out because the format never needed it.

Soothe Face Butter. A waterless blend of shea and kokum butters with nourishing seed oils. Shea and kokum are tree-nut derived. Full list on its page.

Each product page carries its complete INCI, named and explained, so you can check all of it before it touches your skin.

Who it’s for, and one honest note

Made for reactive, easily overwhelmed skin. Including skin navigating MCAS, eczema, psoriasis, or a flare that will not settle. It gives that skin less to carry. It does not treat any condition.

Glow Elixir is a vitamin C oil, best on healed skin rather than active breakouts. The Soothe butter is nut-derived, from shea and kokum. As with everything we make, patch test on the inner forearm, left a day, before your face.

This is a language for noticing. It’s not a diagnosis, and it belongs alongside your doctors, never instead of them.
