A note on this formula

Truly unscented — and why it isn’t labeled “fragrance-free.”

Pure Descent has no scent of any kind — no fragrance, no essential oils, nothing aromatic added. It is preserved with benzyl alcohol, one of the few preservatives permitted under organic ECOCERT standards. It’s a preservative, not a fragrance, which is why this butter stays truly unscented and essential oil-free.

Because benzyl alcohol can appear as a fragrance allergen on EU labels, I won’t put the formal “fragrance-free” claim on it — I’d rather name it than let a label speak for me. I formulated through my own MCAS and tolerated it without issue, but you know your body best.
