Pure Descent

Unscented · no added fragrance

No essential oils at all. Only the faint, natural scent of the butters. The jar for nights when even a soft scent feels like too much.

Cooling Clarity

Menthol · essential oil blend

Fresh and minty, with a clean, cooling moment on contact. The jar for areas that feel tight or overworked.

Read this first · two of the three are scented

Gentle Descent and Cooling Clarity carry real essential oils, never synthetic fragrance. Pure Descent carries none.

Essential oils naturally contain aromatic molecules such as linalool, and some fragrance-reactive and MCAS-sensitive skin responds to them as readily as to synthetics. If that is you, Pure Descent is the jar in this set made without them, and it is also sold on its own.

Left out on purpose

No synthetic fragrance, in any jar. No parabens and no phenoxyethanol. Nothing petroleum-derived. In Pure Descent, no essential oils.

The magnesiumMagnesium is something you already associate with rest. Each butter carries magnesium chloride at 18%, folded into a base of Nilotica shea and mango butters with coconut oil.

The daisy familyRoman chamomile in Gentle Descent, and German chamomile and helichrysum in Cooling Clarity, all sit in the daisy and ragweed (Asteraceae) family. The vitamin E in all three jars is sunflower-derived, never soy.
Where it sits in your routineAfter your evening shower or bath, on clean skin. If you already use an all-over body crème, the butters go on top, only where you want them.

How to use it

Choose tonight’s jar

Gentle Descent for a soft, floral evening. Pure Descent when you want nothing scented. Cooling Clarity for areas that feel tight or overworked.

Warm a small amount

Scoop a little and hold it between your palms until it softens and begins to melt.

Smooth it in slowly

Shoulders, neck, legs, feet, wherever feels good. Take your time with each pass. After Cooling Clarity, wash your hands and keep it away from your face and eyes.

Take your five minutes

Follow the ritual menu and press play on the guided meditation. Use nightly, or whenever you want the evening to slow down.

These butters are formulated for skin that so often gets dismissed in the beauty industry. So every ingredient is named here, along with who it matters to.

Lavender & Roman ChamomileGentle Descent

Lavender naturally contains linalool and linalyl acetate, both declarable fragrance allergens. Roman chamomile sits in the Asteraceae family.

Menthol & the essential oil blendCooling Clarity

Menthol at 4% gives this jar its scent and its cooling character. The blend adds German chamomile, helichrysum, lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, clove, rosemary, and wintergreen. Clove naturally contains eugenol, a declarable fragrance allergen, and wintergreen is naturally rich in methyl salicylate, which matters to anyone avoiding salicylates. AsteraceaeAll three jars

Both chamomiles and helichrysum are in the daisy and ragweed family. The vitamin E in every jar is sunflower-derived, never soy.

Shea, Mango & CoconutAll three jars

The rich, melting base. Shea comes from the nut of the shea tree, which is where it sits for anyone avoiding tree nuts. Mango butter comes from the fruit kernel. Coconut oil is in all three jars.

Benzyl Alcohol & Dehydroacetic AcidAll three jars

The preservative pair, ECOCERT-approved. It is why Pure Descent is called unscented rather than fragrance-free.

That is everything in the jars. Nothing hidden, nothing implied. If a particular ingredient gives you pause, patch test a small area first.

Care and keepingHow far a jar goes, how the butters are preserved, and storing them

How far a jar goes

Further than you expect. The butters are concentrated, so a small scoop covers a lot of skin, and most people find they use less as the weeks go on.

Whether they are preserved

Yes. Each butter carries a small water phase, which gives it that silky melt, and anything with water in it needs a preservative to stay safe in the jar. Ours is benzyl alcohol with dehydroacetic acid.

Storing them

Cool and out of direct sun, lids closed. Scoop with clean, dry fingers. The open-jar symbol on each label shows how long it keeps once opened.

If a jar arrives soft

Warmth in transit softens the butter. Set the closed jar somewhere cool and it will firm up again. If anything looks or smells different from what you expect, write to us and we will make it right.
