What is in it

Fifteen ingredients. A fractionally distilled aloe water for the base. Sodium PCA, panthenol and propanediol to draw water in and hold it. Cordyceps, lion’s mane and snow mushroom for the plump, dewy finish. Marshmallow root and allantoin for comfort after.

How it hydrates

Sodium PCA, panthenol and propanediol draw water in. The mushroom botanicals hold it there.

That is the whole of it. There are no exfoliating acids in the formula, and nothing here needs a low pH to do its work. It absorbs on contact and leaves no film for the next step to fight.

Formulated to support your skin’s moisture barrier. Barrier-friendly by design, with nothing added that a reactive system has to work around.

The signature · mushroom botanicals

Cordyceps and lion’s mane are what make this Harmony rather than any other essence in the line, joined by snow mushroom, which is prized for holding water against the skin.

They are fungal-derived, which matters to some people, so they are named plainly here rather than folded into a botanical blend.

ScentNone added. This essence is essentially scentless, just the faint, clean note of aloe water.
Where it sits in your routineStep two. Cleanse with the Hydrate or Brighten Cleansing Bar, then this. Your serum goes next, then the Ceramide Barrier Cream or the Defy Face Butter to close it. Once or twice a week the Cacao Renewal Polish or the Radiance Mask goes in after cleansing, and the routine works without it.

How to use it

On damp skin

Use it on freshly cleansed skin while it is still slightly damp, for the best slip and absorption.

Place your hands first

Dispense a few pumps into your palms, then rest your hands over your face for a breath before you move. It is a small thing, and it is the part that lets your shoulders drop.

Press it in, slowly

Press gently over the face and neck, moving upward. No rubbing and no pulling. Let it sink in on its own while you keep breathing.

Then layer, while skin is still dewy

Your serum, butter, or cream goes straight on top. There is no film to wait out.

Morning or evening

Gentle enough for daily use. Nothing here needs to be rushed.

I formulate for skin that reacts to almost everything, including my own. So I build for less, and I name all of it. What tolerance looks like changes over time, and it is different for each of us, so what follows is composition rather than a promise. Here is everything in the bottle, written for anyone with a specific allergy.

Mushroom & Ferment BotanicalsCordyceps, lion’s mane, snow mushroom, Aureobasidium ferment

Fungal- and ferment-derived, which is the note for anyone with a mold or fungal sensitivity. Named individually rather than grouped, so you can check each one.

Aloe WaterAloe Barbadensis Leaf Water · the largest ingredient

A fractionally distilled aloe water, and the reason the essence feels cool going on. Aloe is an occasional sensitizer, so it is named here for anyone with that specific allergy.

Humectants & SoothersPropanediol, sodium PCA, panthenol, allantoin, marshmallow root, green tea

Each one named separately rather than grouped as botanicals. Marshmallow is in the mallow family (Malvaceae), and green tea is Camellia sinensis, in case either is on your list.

Natural preservationGluconolactone and sodium benzoate · ECOCERT-approved

The system that keeps this water-based essence stable. The gluconolactone is a lactone in the polyhydroxy family, and it is here to preserve rather than to exfoliate.

That is everything in the bottle. Nothing hidden, nothing implied. If a particular ingredient here gives you pause, patch test a small area first. You know your body best.

How long a bottle lasts

A few drops covers a face, so a bottle goes further than the size suggests. Most people use less after the first fortnight, once they stop pouring it like a toner.

We have not printed a month figure, because ours would not be yours.

Whether it is preserved, and why

Yes, and it has to be. This is a water-based formula, and water is what makes a preservative necessary. Without one it would not be safe to keep on a bathroom shelf for months.

The system here is gluconolactone and sodium benzoate, both ECOCERT-approved for use in certified organic cosmetics.

Storing it, and keeping it clean

Cool, out of direct sun, closed between uses. Dispense onto clean hands rather than dipping wet fingers into the bottle, and keep it off the wet edge of the sink. A preserved product is protected, and it still does better when you are not adding tap water to it twice a day.

If it arrives warm, and when to stop

Warmth in transit is normal, and a hot mailbox is nothing to worry about here. A water-light formula has nothing to melt. Leave it somewhere cool for an hour and it will be exactly as it should be.

What to watch for instead is a change in the formula itself. Separation or cloudiness that was not there when you opened it, or a smell that has shifted. Any of those and you should stop using it and tell us, and we will replace it.
