When your skin looks as tired as you feel.

Some mornings the skin looks flat and a little dimmed, like it has not quite woken up. If your skin is reactive, you already know how often a bid for radiance ends in a pink, irritated face by the afternoon.

This was made for those mornings. A light layer, pressed in after cleansing, that lifts the look of tired skin without asking anything of it.

What is in it

Fourteen ingredients. Copper Tripeptide-1 for a brighter, more even look, with plant peptides from avocado fruit and lupine protein alongside it. A fractionally distilled aloe water for the base. Glycerin, propanediol and sodium PCA to draw water in. Panthenol, marshmallow root and snow mushroom to leave skin comfortable.

How it works

Copper Tripeptide-1 for a brighter, more even look, at skin-neutral pH with no exfoliating acid in the formula.

GHK-Cu is a biomimetic peptide, a small fragment of glycyl-histidyl-lysine that mirrors one the body already makes, complexed with copper. It is one of the most-studied peptides in skincare, and it is here at a level chosen for gentleness. It is named in full on the label for anyone with a copper or metal sensitivity.

Formulated to support your skin’s moisture barrier. Barrier-friendly by design, with nothing added that a reactive system has to work around.

The plant peptidesNaturally derived peptides from avocado fruit and lupine protein. Both are named in the allergens section below, because both matter to specific allergies.
The soothersProvitamin B5 and marshmallow root, to soften the look and feel of the skin, with snow mushroom for a plump, dewy finish.

How to use it

On damp skin

Use it on freshly cleansed skin while it is still slightly damp, for the best slip and absorption.

Place your hands first

Dispense a few pumps into your palms, then rest your hands over your face for a breath before you move. It is a small thing, and it is the part that lets your shoulders drop.

Press it in, slowly

Press gently over the face and neck, moving upward. No rubbing and no pulling. Let it sink in on its own while you keep breathing.

Then layer, while skin is still dewy

Your serum, butter, or cream goes straight on top. There is no film to wait out.

Morning or evening

Gentle enough for daily use. Nothing here needs to be rushed.

What tolerance looks like changes over time, and it is different for each of us, so what follows is composition rather than a promise. Lab-made rather than plant-derived, and complexed with copper. Named here for anyone with a known copper or metal sensitivity.

Hydrolyzed Lupine ProteinLegume, Fabaceae

One of the naturally derived peptide sources. Lupine is a legume that can cross-react with peanut, so this is the note for anyone with a peanut or legume allergy.

Avocado Fruit ExtractPersea Gratissima

The other naturally derived peptide source. Avocado is one of the fruits linked to latex cross-reactivity, so it is named here for anyone with a latex-fruit allergy.

Aloe WaterAloe Barbadensis Leaf Water

The light, hydrating base, a fractionally distilled aloe water. Aloe is an occasional sensitizer, so it is named here for anyone with that specific allergy.

Marshmallow RootAlthaea Officinalis · Malvaceae

A soft, demulcent botanical from the mallow family, named for anyone with a known mallow-family sensitivity.

Provitamin B5 and skin-familiar humectants, with an ECOCERT-approved preservation system. The gluconolactone is a lactone in the polyhydroxy family, and it is here to preserve rather than to exfoliate.

That is everything in the bottle. Nothing hidden, nothing implied. If a particular ingredient gives you pause, the lupine peptide especially if you have a peanut or legume allergy, or the copper peptide if you have a metal sensitivity, patch test a small area first. You know your body best.

Care and keepingHow long a bottle lasts, why it is preserved, and keeping it clean

How long a bottle lasts

A few drops covers a face, so a bottle goes further than the size suggests. Most people use less after the first fortnight, once they stop pouring it like a toner.

We have not printed a month figure, because ours would not be yours.

Whether it is preserved, and why

Yes, and it has to be. This is a water-based formula, and water is what makes a preservative necessary. Without one it would not be safe to keep on a bathroom shelf for months.

The system here is gluconolactone and sodium benzoate, both ECOCERT-approved for use in certified organic cosmetics.

Storing it, and keeping it clean

Cool, out of direct sun, closed between uses. Dispense onto clean hands rather than dipping wet fingers into the bottle, and keep it off the wet edge of the sink. A preserved product is protected, and it still does better when you are not adding tap water to it twice a day.

If it arrives warm, and when to stop

Warmth in transit is normal, and a hot mailbox is nothing to worry about here. A water-light formula has nothing to melt. Leave it somewhere cool for an hour and it will be exactly as it should be.

What to watch for instead is a change in the formula itself. Separation or cloudiness that was not there when you opened it, or a smell that has shifted. Any of those and you should stop using it and tell us, and we will replace it.
