Raw unrefined butters have a high amount of Vitamin A and E, fatty acid and other more skin-beneficial ingredients. When the butter has been refined, it has been stripped of the majority of these beneficial ingredients.

We source raw, unrefined, extra virgin and cold pressed carrier oils when possible. Sourcing unrefined carrier oils means they are minimally processed, providing you with more skin benefits each time you use our products. Unrefined oils are either cold-pressed or expeller-pressed, which means they are minimally processed using mechanical extraction. They are made using low-temperature controlled conditions to extract the oil from the seed, nut, etc. They can also be referred to as ‘virgin’ or ‘extra virgin’. Unrefined oils are the most desired, since the minimal processing ensures a high quality, nutrient-rich, authentic-to-nature oil.
